After an interrogation and debate the party frees the 3 prisoners, goes back to pick up some gear for them from the old stores in the caves, and heads upstairs. Again a brief look see and discussion is followed my a quick step up a second set of steps to the second floor where they believe the “red headed woman” could be found.

Upstairs the party briefly deliberates which door to go through and chooses the chapel, in which a hulk of an ogre stands amidst the carnage and viscera of many dead bodies. The party and rabbley meat shields move into positions to engage the beast in battle. Rawr, vicious blows, yelling and then BAM ogers from other doors. Then BAM lightning from the googly eyed oger in drag. Oh, and a red haired woman that turns out to not be a red haired woman at all but a lamia in disguise. The party is in the end victorious, but only the meatshields Valeros and Jak survive. A few moments are spent recuperating and assessing the situation…

Special Items
Boots of the Mire: This footgear bestows many powers upon the wearer. First, he is able to travel across marshland at his normal speed, leaving no tracks. Second, the boots also enable him to travel at normal speed across the most bog hazards such as mud, slime covered logs and quicksand (horizontal surfaces only, not vertical or sharply slanted ones) without falling or slipping. Finally, provide a minor repellent to natural vermin such as leeches and stinging insects.
